Perfect Weapon(TM) PC DEMO

Installation 
-=-=-=-=-=-=
This demo requires that Direct X(TM) 2 or 3 is
installed on your system and that a sound card 
exists and is functioning properly.
This demo game requires approximately 25 Megs.  
  (A no sound demo for machines without Direct X(TM) 
  and/or a sound card is available at www.ascgames.com ) 

Steps:

- Double click on the setup.exe file and it will allow 
you to install to the location you desire. 

- The game is entered into your start menu 
(as is an uninstall program).


Resolution
-=-=-=-=-=
Perfect Weapon(TM) will run fastest in 256 colour
resolution. (BEST RESULTS)
You can change your resolution by entering the
Display options from your control Panel. 
This may require you to restart your machine after making
any changes.  (If so, you will be prompted)


Direct X(TM) Sound Drivers
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Direct X(TM) 2.0 or 3.0 drivers are required for sound
to be played in the game. Sound in the movies will still be
heard without installing the Direct X(TM) Sound
drivers.  After installing the Direct X(TM) drivers you 
are required to reboot your computer.  This prompt will
appear at the end of the driver installation.


Default Keyboard Setup

Jump:     Enter
Crouch:     Shift
Left Punch:     A
Right Punch:     S
Left Kick:     Z
Right Kick:     X
Fight Mode:     F
Normal Mode:     N

Brightness:     KEYPAD(+), KEYPAD(-)   [ DEFAULT:  ALT + KEYPAD(+) ]

Blake can enter fight mode at any time using the fight key.
Additionally, Blake will enter fight mode if a kick or
punch key is hit near an enemy.  

The Left punch is used to make use of an item in inventory.
The Right punch is used to drop an item from inventory.
  - only specific items may be dropped or used.
The fight and Normal keys are used to select between items in inventory.

The Left kick can be used while walking to make Blake begin running. This is 
identical to pressing up twice quickly.  (However, blake punches if Blake is
not walking)

Blake will jump different distances depending on how long the jump key is held
down for.  Distances are also enhanced by the jumping boots.

Blake can collect a maximum of four healths at any one time.  It is also not 
possible to pick up more than 4 different useable inventory items.  Useable 
items appear on the left hand side of the inventory screen.

As Blake reaches each new level, he picks up new secret moves which you will
want to watch out for:


Screen Modes
-=-=-=-=-=-=
To toggle the screen mode in the game from a 640x480 window to full screen,
press 'ALT' 'ENTER' together.  The default is to play in full screen mode.
Please note that if you are running at 640x480 resolution, the window will 
still take up the whole screen.


TaskBar
-=-=-=-
Setting your taskbar options to 'Always on top' or 'Auto Hide' will affect 
the size of the game window in full screen mode.  It is recommended that 
this option is turned off before running Perfect Weapon(TM).  
Taskbar options are available in from the settings hierarchy of the 
Windows(R) 95 start bar, or by right clicking on the taskbar.


Contrast
-=-=-=-=
To alter Contrast during the game:      KEYPAD(+), KEYPAD(-)   
            [ DEFAULT:  ALT + KEYPAD(+) or ALT + KEYPAD(-) ]
You can make the same changes using the contrast setting in the game
options menu.  (Changes made from the options menu will saved)
